User-Controlled Information
Users can directly manage many types of information stored in Army Flight Logbook.
Examples include:
Flight records
Flight tags
Aircraft
Profile information
Uploaded files
Notification preferences
Organization memberships (where permitted)
Deleting information through the application removes it from active use, though backup copies may remain for a limited period as described below.
Account Deletion
When an account is permanently deleted:
Personal profile information is scheduled for deletion.
Flight records are removed from active systems.
Uploaded documents are removed from active storage.
Authentication credentials are invalidated.
Active sessions are terminated.
Some information may be retained where required to:
Comply with legal obligations.
Prevent fraud.
Resolve disputes.
Enforce agreements.
Maintain accounting records.
Protect the security of our services.

Backups
Army Flight Logbook maintains backups to support disaster recovery and business continuity.
Information deleted from active systems may remain in encrypted backup media for a limited period before being overwritten or securely deleted according to our backup lifecycle.
Backup copies are not used to restore deleted user information except where necessary for disaster recovery or system restoration.

If information becomes subject to:

Regulatory inquiry
Court order
Preservation request
certain information may be retained beyond the normal retention schedule until the matter has been resolved.
Security Logs
Security-related logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
Detect unauthorized access.
Investigate security incidents.
Monitor platform health.

Improve platform security.
These logs are protected through access controls and are not used for advertising purposes.
Support Communications
Support requests submitted through Intercom, email, or other support channels may be retained to:

Support records are periodically reviewed and deleted in accordance with our operational needs and retention schedule.
Marketing Communications
If you subscribe to newsletters or product updates:

Anonymized Information
